Society and Peace

Transcendental Meditation is a proven and powerfully effective technology for not only dissolving individual stress but for reducing collective stress and bringing peace to society.
Research shows that when just 1 % of a community practise Transcendental Meditation, social stress as measured by crime, accidents and conflict reduce and harmony, balance and peace is restored.

Society-and-Peace-smallDuring periods in 1983 – 1985 when groups of participants in the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Program of significant size were established, there was a significant increase in progress towards peace in the Middle East, as measured by an index comprising increased cooperation, reduced level of conflict, reduced war fatalities, and reduced war injuries. Reference: Journal of Social Behaviour and Personality 17: 285 – 338, 2005.

The Transcendental Meditation has an advanced technique, the TM Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying, which when practised together in a group has an even more powerful impact on society.

Research shows that just the square root of 1% of a population is necessary to reduce all negativity and restore natural peace and harmony.

The square root of 1% of the population for Australia is 500 peace-creating experts and only 8,000 for the whole world population.

Over the past 25 years, this powerful, innovative approach to peace has been extensively field tested - in the Middle East and throughout the world. The consistent result has been dramatic reductions in terrorism, war, and other social violence. These findings have been replicated, published in leading academic journals and endorsed by hundreds of independent scientists and scholars. The efficacy of this approach is now beyond question.

With the establishment of permanent groups of these peace-creating experts in every country, we can now safeguard nations against violence and social disorder and promote peace in the world.

Transcendental Meditation has been implemented in many prisons around the world. Research confirms that the recidivism rate (i.e., the rate of return to prison) is much less for offenders taught Transcendental Meditation and recovery from addictions is significantly better when TM is added to standard rehabilitation programs.
